 Question and Answer with Erin

What have been the highlights along your professional journey thus far?

The thing I like most about working as a physical therapist is the ability to meet and work with a variety of patients in various settings. I feel that helping people on their journey to recovery is truly rewarding. I enjoy seeing the progress that people I have worked with made and how this positively affects their day to day life.

What can a patient expect from a physical therapy session with you?

During the first few sessions I spend with a patient I like to establish what goals a patient has and what they are aiming to achieve throughout their course of therapy. I like to use a hands on approach when appropriate and like to focus on education regarding techniques for optimal recovery and ways to avoid further injury.

What do you do to stay healthy and well?

Staying physically active is a very important aspect of my life. I enjoy running, hiking, biking, swimming, yoga, and strength training. I also love to cook and think that well balanced meals and a family dinner whenever possible is an important part of having a healthy lifestyle.

What are your favorite hobbies/things to do?

Spending time with family and friends is a top priority for me when outside of work. I enjoy going hiking, biking, running, spending time at the pool on summer days, concerts, and sporting events. I also spend a lot of free time going to my daughters' activities year round which includes softball, basketball, volleyball, and soccer.
