Introducing Steven Selode, LMT
My name is Steven and I am a licensed massage therapist of 14 years. I am a graduate from Herzing University/Lakeside School of Massage Therapy. I enjoy working with those with chronic conditions such as headaches/migraines, frozen shoulder, thoracic outlet syndrome, sciatic pain amongst many other conditions. I also enjoy working with athletes, expectant mothers, and post op clients. I have a therapeutic touch and I incorporate stretching within my sessions and tailor them to each person’s needs. Prenatal Massage Services
Nurturing Care for You and Your Growing Baby
Pregnancy is an incredible journey, but it can also bring significant physical changes and discomfort. As your body adapts to support your growing baby, you may experience low back pain, hip discomfort, muscle tension, swelling, fatigue, and difficulty finding comfortable positions for rest and relaxation.
Our prenatal massage services are specifically designed to support expectant mothers throughout pregnancy by promoting comfort, relaxation, and overall well-being in a safe and therapeutic environment.
A Unique Prenatal Massage Experience
One of the features that sets Health In Balance apart is our specialized prenatal massage table. Unlike traditional massage tables, this table includes contoured support cushions designed to accommodate many pregnant clients comfortably in a face-down position.
For many expectant mothers, the opportunity to safely and comfortably lie prone again can provide tremendous relief. Many clients are surprised by how much better their back, hips, and shoulders feel simply from being able to relax in a position that has often become unavailable during pregnancy.
As pregnancy progresses, comfort needs may change. For clients in later stages of pregnancy, additional bolstering and side-lying positioning techniques may be used to ensure the most comfortable and supportive experience possible.
Benefits of Prenatal Massage
Prenatal massage may help:
• Relieve low back, hip, neck, and shoulder pain
• Reduce muscle tension and postural strain
• Improve circulation and promote healthy blood flow
• Decrease swelling in the hands, feet, and legs
• Reduce stress and anxiety
• Improve relaxation and sleep quality
• Support overall physical and emotional wellness during pregnancy
Is Prenatal Massage Right for Me?
Prenatal massage may be appropriate during any trimester for individuals experiencing a normal, low-risk pregnancy. Each session is customized to your stage of pregnancy, symptoms, and comfort level.
Because every pregnancy is unique, we carefully review your health history prior to treatment. Clients experiencing high-risk pregnancies or certain medical conditions may be asked to obtain approval from their physician, midwife, or healthcare provider before receiving massage therapy. Additional intake documentation may also be required.
Your Comfort. Your Wellness. Your Pregnancy.
At Health In Balance, our goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and restorative experience that helps you feel your best throughout every stage of pregnancy. Whether you're seeking relief from physical discomfort, stress reduction, or simply a moment to relax and reconnect with your body, prenatal massage can be a valuable part of your prenatal wellness journey.
*Please mention you are seeking a prenatal massage when booking.
