Chair Strength & Balance
Build strength, improve balance, and move with greater confidence in this supportive, small-group exercise class.
Chair Strength & Balance is designed for adults who want to stay active, maintain their independence, and feel more confident with everyday movement. A chair is incorporated throughout the class for balance, support, and a variety of seated and standing exercises.
Classes focus on functional strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, and mobility—all important for making everyday activities such as walking, climbing stairs, getting up from a chair, and moving around your home feel easier and safer.
Exercises can be modified for different fitness and mobility levels, making this a great option for older adults, those returning to exercise, or anyone who prefers the added security of having a chair nearby.
Class focuses include:
Strengthening the legs, hips, core, and upper body
Improving balance and stability
Building confidence with standing and movement
Maintaining flexibility and mobility
Supporting everyday function and independence
Providing a safe, welcoming way to stay active
No getting down on the floor is required.
